Raine & Horne Rural expands office network by 15% in 2023/24, strengthening its presence in NSW and QLD

July 29, 2024

Rapidly expanding rural real estate brand Raine & Horne Rural is proud to announce a significant milestone in its growth, expanding its office network by 15% over the last financial year.

The recent expansion includes new offices in regional NSW and Queensland, bringing Raine & Horne Rural's renowned expertise and personalised service closer to more farmers, corporates, lifestyle buyers and investors in many of Australia’s key agricultural areas.

Mr Travis Wentriro, Regional & Rural Network Manager, Raine & Horne, has been instrumental in driving this growth. Under his leadership, the rural brand has flourished, reinforcing the rural brand’s longstanding reputation in the industry.

“Our network has grown significantly since we relaunched the Raine & Horne Rural brand last year," said Mr Wentriro. "We’ve opened or rebranded offices in NSW in locations such as Casino, Quirindi, Murrurundi, and several locations in Queensland, bringing our total of Raine & Horne Rural offices to a record high."

A lifetime of rural experience supports Raine & Horne's expansion

Mr Wentriro’s background uniquely qualifies him for his role leading Raine & Horne Rural. A country boy, Mr Wentriro grew up in the remote outback town of Coober Pedy, South Australia, where his family lived for 25 years. After finishing boarding school in Adelaide, he returned home and spent the early years of his career working on large-scale cattle properties in Far-North South Australia. This included four years as a jackaroo on a 3,000-square-kilometre property, working for one of Australia largest landowners, The Williams Cattle Company.

"I grew up in the bush and have worked extensively in the agricultural sector, which has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in rural areas," Mr Wentriro shared.

"Moreover, many of my school mates at boarding school came from families that owned large rural properties, where I spent many holidays getting a taste for life on the land, something that sparked my interest in the agricultural industry when I left school.

"This hands-on experience and enthusiasm for the agricultural sector is invaluable in my role today, where I clock close to 45,000 kilometres a year supporting our offices and identifying new opportunities."

Before transitioning to real estate, Mr Wentriro also had a diverse career in mining and recruitment, always rooted in regional Australia. He worked on mine sites in Central Queensland and South Australia including Roxby Downs, gaining a wealth of experience in remote and regional locations.

A new era for Raine & Horne Rural

One notable rebranding under Mr Wentriro’s leadership is the former independent Bettington Rural’s offices in Quirindi and Murrurundi located on the Liverpool Plains of NSW, which have now joined the Raine & Horne Rural family. The exemplary support provided to these offices reflects Mr Wentriro’s dedication to fostering strong relationships within the network.

Mr Jake Williams, Principal of Raine & Horne Rural Quirindi and Raine & Horne Rural Murrurundi said, “Raine & Horne has a long-standing presence in this part of NSW, which is why Travis Wentriro approached me to reestablish an office in Quirindi. It’s a well-known brand here.

“We are excited to promote the Raine & Horne Rural brand, especially with its ecosystem of technology-first solutions such as the AI-powered social media marketing platform, Amplify. This level of technology appeals to younger generations when they decide to sell or buy rural properties.”

Mr Wentriro added, "Our brand has been around for 141 years and has been involved in rural property sales since the beginning. Our rapid office expansion in the 2023/24 financial year is a testament to our commitment to rural Australia.

"Our goal is to continue building on the presence of Raine & Horne Rural across Australia, ensuring we offer unparalleled support and expertise to our regional and rural clients."
